Heartland Championships

Dear School Owners,

We are very excited to invite you to Heartland Championships in Lincoln, Nebraska!The tournament will be held again at the Lincoln Sports Foundation Complex. The facility is located nearI-80 on the north side of Lincoln, and has plenty of parking! This is Easter weekend, but “HOP” on overand have fun on Saturday! (No events take place on Easter Sunday.)

We will be holding a High-Rank Testing on Friday, April 3 at our Lincoln Gold Star ATA location. Wewill also have a High-Rank Workout that evening. More details will come on both of these excitingevents!

The enclosed Registration Sign-up form is for your convenience to keep track of competitors before doing the online ATA registration, which is due by 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 1.

Please print the competition registration form for each of your students, and check to make sure each is correct.

Please allow plus or minus 1 hour from staging time. Actual times will vary depending on judge and ring availability.

Divisions: Divisions will be set up per ATA guidelines. Divisions may becombined or split based on the number of competitors in each division.

Rules and Equipment: ATA Rules will be strictly enforced. ATA approvedsparring gear, chest protector, face shield, mouth guard, and protectivecups for males are required for sparring. ATA approved uniform,traditional weapons, including complete equipment for combat weaponssparring is required. Black Belts will be in uniform or dress suitthroughout the tournament. Please consult your instructor for moreinformation on ATA tournament rules. This is an ATA Sanctioned RegionalTournament and Top Ten Points will be awarded in Champion Rings.
