A NOTE FROM MASTER COCHNAR:
Thank you to all the judges, athletes, and family members who came to support our Inter-School Tournament and The Midwest Challenge Tournament in Abilene, KS. We hope everyone had a great time!
In martial arts, practice builds skill, but tournaments build confidence. Attending a tournament is like going to the “game” after weeks of training - it gives students a chance to apply what they’ve learned, grow under healthy pressure, and celebrate their progress. But it’s about far more than competition. Tournaments foster camaraderie, help students make new friends from other schools, and create a sense of community that can’t be replicated in regular class. It's a fun, supportive way for students to challenge themselves and experience the full benefits of their martial arts journey.
One of Eternal Grand Master HU Lee’s most famous quotes was “To Compete is to Win”, a reminder that every experience we have shapes us into who we are.
Save the Date of Saturday, April 4th, for Heartland Championships, held at the Lincoln Sports Foundation right here in Lincoln!!
